Winning Big at the Reed and Pollie Awards

May 28, 2021

The New Media Firm is honored to have won multiple Reed and Pollie Awards for our work during the 2020 election cycle.

Early in 2020 at the very beginning of the pandemic, we worked with A Better Wisconsin Together to run a strategic television and digital program that helped unseat an incumbent Wisconsin state Supreme Court Justice for only the second time in half a century as well as elect Jill Karofsky to the Court. For our work, we won two Reed Awards along with our collaborators at Blue Wave Voiceovers.

We were recognized with another Reed Award for “Best Use of an Emerging Platform” for our work with Michigan Planned Parenthood Votes supporting U.S. Senator Gary Peters. Our Snapchat ad featured Sen. Peters family’s personal story with abortion – making him the first sitting United States Senator in American history to publicly share a personal experience with abortion.

Our work with Millions of Michiganians’ GOTV radio program to help turn out the voters needed for a Biden/Harris and Peters win also earned a Pollie Award for Independent Expenditure Campaigns.

We are also proud of our work with the One for All Committee to develop messaging to move women voters in battleground states. Our ad “Stages of Grief” took home a Reed Award for “Best Use of Humor in a TV Ad.”

Congratulations to our colleagues and all the award winners over the past cycle. We are honored and so thankful for the trust of our clients to help them tell stories that win and make our country a better place.
