Sabina Matos Wins Democratic Primary for Lt. Governor

The New Media Firm was proud to direct the paid media program for Rhode Island Lt. Governor Sabina Matos’ Democratic Primary victory in September 2022. We worked closely with the Matos campaign to build a disciplined strategy, message, and plan to win. Matos is the first Afro-Latina and Black person to be nominated for statewide office in Rhode Island history. She defeated a sitting state senator and long-time state representative to win her Democratic primary campaign with 47% of the vote.

TNMF’s paid media program included broadcast, cable, and streaming television, as well as radio and an aggressive digital effort. We focused on Matos’ work delivering for the people of Rhode Island from her career-long advocacy for affordable housing to her strong support for reproductive freedom – especially after Roe v. Wade was overturned.
