Huge Supreme Court Victory in Wisconsin!

April 5, 2023

We’re proud to have worked closely with the One for All Committee to help elect Judge Janet Protasiewicz to the Wisconsin Supreme Court. Protasiewicz won with over 55 percent of the vote, beating Republican opponent Daniel Kelly in a major victory for reproductive rights and democratic values.

As NPR reported, this is the first time progressives have gained control of the Wisconsin Supreme Court in 15 years.

In the months leading up to the election, we tested messages focused on freedom, choice, attacks on public schools and more. Ultimately, we produced over 20 ads targeted to moderate white women voters, a critical demographic, in a program that ran for seven weeks statewide.

In our creative, we used Wisconsinites to demonstrate the need to elect Protasiewicz. Liz, a female veteran and mom, highlighted how fragile our freedom really is in a spot that ran on display, social media, and streaming television. Check it out below.

The New Media Firm has long worked in Wisconsin. With A Better Wisconsin Together, we helped elect Justice Jill Karofsky and defeat Daniel Kelly for the first time in 2020’s Supreme Court race and then worked to support State Superintendent of Public Instruction Jill Underly in 2021 and Governor Tony Evers in 2022.

Congratulations to Judge Protasiewicz’s campaign and the broad coalition who made this win happen!
