Big Wins. Lasting Impact. A Historic 2026.
November 5, 2026From doing our part to help Democrats take back the U.S. House and Senate, to electing statewide leaders in Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, North Carolina, and Iowa, to winning ballot initiatives that ensure millionaires and billionaires will pay their fair share and working to increase public school funding, The New Media Firm is proud to have helped our clients achieve major victories across the country in the historic 2026 election.
These wins reflect months (and sometimes years) of hard work, strong partnerships, and a shared commitment to making every message and every media budget count. Here are a few highlights from the cycle across the country:
In Maine, we partnered with the Democratic Governors Association/Pine Tree State Prosperity, Planned Parenthood Maine Action Fund, and Maine Conservation Voters Action Fund to help elect Hannah Pingree and soundly defeat Bobby Charles in the governor’s race. In Michigan, we worked with the Democratic Attorneys General Association to defeat Republican Doug Lloyd and elect Eli Savit as the state’s next Attorney General. And in Minnesota, our work with Clear Voice Minnesota helped Peggy Flanagan win her race for the U.S. Senate, particularly our early work in the Democratic Primary.
We were proud to work with Senator Bernie Sanders’ campaign on paid digital media programs that helped Abdul El-Sayed and Peggy win their U.S. Senate primaries, advancing progressive leaders in two of the cycle’s most closely watched contests.
Across the congressional map, we worked in over two dozen U.S. House districts and in key Senate races, helping Democrats secure victories that delivered control of both chambers. In addition to reelecting Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib and Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, our work included supporting all three Democratic House flips in Iowa (IA-01, IA-02, and IA-03), as well as WA-03, MI-04, MI-10, WI-03, PA-07, PA-08, PA-10, FL-22, NC-11, and VA-01 among others. Our partnership with MomsRising Together and the One For All Committee also helped support the critical Senate victories in Maine, Iowa, and North Carolina. We also produced advertising supporting Mary Peltola’s campaign and are keeping a close watch on results in Alaska.
We were also proud to help deliver state legislative victories across the country – from Tyler Smith’s flip of a longtime Republican-held House seat in Houston, Texas, to the decisive reelections of Delaware State Senators Dan Cruce and Spiros Mantzavinos. In Maine and Massachusetts, our work with Planned Parenthood Maine Action Fund, Maine Conservation Voters Action Fund, and the Massachusetts Teachers Association helped secure dozens of victories in both states and in both chambers.
Our work also extended to down-ballot statewide races. Earlier this year, we partnered with First State Service PAC on an aggressive digital program that helped Ted Lauzen win a decisive victory in a multi-candidate Democratic primary. In Massachusetts this fall, we worked with the Massachusetts Teachers Association on a program that helped reelect State Auditor Diana DiZoglio with more than 80% of the vote.
Voters delivered major victories with progressive ballot initiatives for a fairer tax code and for public schools, too. In Washington, we led the digital program for No on 645, helping defeat the initiative with approximately 58% voting no. In Minnesota, we helped build overwhelming support for the constitutional amendment to increase public school funding, which is currently winning with approximately 73% of the vote. We also defeated Question 5 in Massachusetts, which stopped a give-back of tax dollars that would have damaged public services.
We are so grateful to our clients and partners for their trust, and to our team for the creativity, care, and determination they brought to every campaign. We’re proud of what we accomplished together and of the difference the change these wins will make in people’s lives.
