We are Hiring – Senior Associate
The New Media Firm is seeking a creative, experienced, and detail-oriented senior operative to join our team and work with clients to help accomplish their goals and win elections. This position is based in our Washington DC office with the opportunity to work remote two days per week.
In this role, you will work closely with one of the firm’s founding partners, serving as a trusted thought partner on strategy, execution, and client management. This highly collaborative position is ideal for someone who enjoys shaping big-picture direction while ensuring that timelines, details, and deliverables are executed with precision. You’ll keep complex programs running smoothly – anticipating challenges, solving problems, and making sure the trains run on time.
The ideal candidate brings at least three election cycles of experience in political campaigns or progressive organizations and a strong command of paid media programs across television, radio, and digital platforms. Exceptional organizational skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential. This is an opportunity to work alongside a seasoned team, contribute to high-level strategic decisions, and help progressive candidates, independent expenditures, organizations, and labor unions win meaningful victories.
Responsibilities
- Work directly with the firm’s senior team and clients
- Participate in client strategic planning, weekly calls, and retreats
- Help build strategic paid media plans for television, digital, and radio
- Work with senior team to write and produce television, digital, and radio advertising
- Project manage the creative and production process across departments for multiple clients at once
- Build and track internal and external plans, budgets, and documents
- Research and prepare reports and memos for clients and potential clients
- Build strong relationships with internal team members as well as external clients and partners
- Willingness to be a team player, know that we all pitch in and work together to help clients succeed
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Work travel is required
Qualifications
- A strong understanding of how political campaigns work and operate
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Strong project management and organizational skills, attention to detail, and professional demeanor
- Superior problem-solving skills and ability to think quickly and anticipate needs as well as develop solutions with little instruction
- Demonstrates leadership with political savvy and composure, and ability to foster teamwork
- Excellent writing and communication skills

Salary and Benefits
- Competitive salary commensurate with experience ranging from $75,000 – $100,000 and eligibility for annual bonus
